Nicole. 23. I had the same description in here for way too long.

Things that have happened in the past two days in relation to my computer

  • Went to the Apple store on Sunday because when I got home Saturday night, I opened my computer and the display was all kinds of funky
  • Find out that because the refurbished computer that I bought off Amazon still has 90 days left on it’s warranty, I will not be charged the $700 I would have been charged for this otherwise
  • My computer is sent off to get fixed because they do not have the right parts in the store
  • I receive a call about 30 minutes ago from said Apple Store telling me that the depot found all of the damage to be my fault (and trust me, after breaking one computer, I am as careful as one can be with mine), and that I will have an additional charge to get it fixed
  • A CHARGE THAT IS $1,240
  • I yelled like I never have in my life about how rude and mean it is to tell someone something is $700, then free, then $1,240
  • Call Apple Care, yell some more, cry a lot, yell more (if you know me, you know I really don’t get angry in the sense that I start yelling and cursing because I’m not great with people I don’t know, also thats rude BUT I HAD TO)
  • They either got so annoyed with me or realized I was right the whole time, overrode the cost, and now my computer is once again being fixed for free

Lion OSX

My very short review on Lion.

I really, really love it. I love that they are integrating iOS and OSX together. I am very used to the new scrolling (though I wish I could turn off the new horizontal scrolling while keeping the new vertical scrolling). I love Mission Control and Launchpad, and pretty much everything about Lion. However, the only thing that is missing right now is the fact that there are no gestures to swipe back a page on Chrome. On Safari it is now a two finger swipe back to a previous visited page, but Chrome doesn’t have that yet, and its very frustrating. I expect a small software update to come soon, so maybe it will fix that, or maybe Chrome will have an extension of some sort soon.

Either way, great job with Lion, I really think that its a huge improvement. Love the full screen apps, love the different desktops and how they work with Mission Control, just an all around love.

I am going to SCROUNGE this summer, and if I have half the money I’m going to use birthday money to pay for the rest of it. I WANT ONE.i
